Visit CeCe

As of March 1, CeCe has been transferred to the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Stillwater, MN. If you were already approved to visit CeCe in St. Cloud, you do not need to take any additional steps to visit her in Stillwater. However, the visiting hours are different, and she can only have 16 hours of visits per month.

If you want to visit CeCe, there are several steps to go through to make it happen. If you want help filling out the paperwork or figuring out visiting logistics, email visitcece(a)gmail.com and someone will help walk you through the process.

1. Download and fill out the Visiting Privilege Application Form. Write that you are applying to visit Chrishaun McDonald, OID #238072. Once the form is filled out, mail it to 970 Pickett Street, Bayport, MN 55003.

Unfortunately, CeCe can only have 24 people on her visiting list at once. If you are added to her list and removed, you can’t be added again for another 6 months. She doesn’t have any decision-making power over who gets added to her visiting list (when the prison receives paperwork, people are automatically added to her list as they are approved), so if you don’t know CeCe personally, please write her a letter before sending in your paperwork to introduce yourself and let her know you’re thinking about visiting.

2. CeCe will get in touch with you to let you know once you’ve been added to her list.

3. Go visit CeCe! (Full visiting rules can be found here, details about Stillwater’s policies are here).

CeCe can have visitors at the following times:

Thursday and Friday: 10:15 am-7:45 pm. You may visit 1 or 2 hours during the week. Do not arrive between 11:00-12:00, 3:00-4:00, or after 7:00, because these are the prison’s count times and you’ll have to wait around until count finishes.

Saturday-Sunday: 8:15 am-5:45 pm. You may visit for 1 hour during the weekend. Do not arrive between 11:00-12:00, 3:00-4:00, or after 5:00, because these are the prison’s count times and you’ll have to wait around until count finishes.

What to bring:

To be allowed to visit CeCe, you must bring a valid photo ID. The address on your ID should match the address on your visiting application.

There’s a dress code at the prison: no spandex/leggings; shorts and skirts must be below the knee; no low necklines; no tank tops or halter tops; nothing see-through or sheer; no hats or headwear; no hoodies or jackets; and you have to wear underwear. The guards really won’t let you in if your clothes don’t meet these guidelines.

All you’re allowed to bring into your visit is one key and your ID. It’s easiest to leave everything else in the car, but there are small lockers available for 25 cents in the lobby.

In the lobby, there’s a vending machine where you can buy a $3 coupon for a photo. Once you’re in visiting CeCe, you can use the coupon to get a photo taken with CeCe.
